Figures from the KidMap dataset 2026.10.10.2. They count source records before de-duplication, so they are approximate, which is why they are rounded. 43 countries have a page of their own, one for every country where at least one city is mapped in detail.
Why the numbers differ so much.
Coverage follows the open data underneath, not the size of the country. Germany and Poland have been mapped in detail by OpenStreetMap volunteers for years, so their counts are high. Some southern and eastern European countries have far fewer playgrounds recorded than actually exist. A low number here means "little is written down", never "there is nothing there".
City by city, you can see exactly what is on the map: playgrounds by city lists every city with a page of its own.
