Questions about Sweden
How many playgrounds are there in Sweden?
KidMap maps about 21,000 playgrounds in Sweden. That figure comes from the source datasets, so treat it as approximate. The city pages below carry exact counts inside each city boundary: 6,310 playgrounds across 11 cities.
Which cities in Sweden does KidMap cover?
Every city in Sweden is on the map. 11 of them have a page here: Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Linköping, Helsingborg, Uppsala, Umeå, Lund and more. A city gets its own page once at least 60 playgrounds are mapped inside its boundary.
Is the data complete?
No, and no playground map is. Coverage comes from OpenStreetMap, municipal open data and families using the app, so it is deeper in some cities than in others, and a small playground can be missing. A detail that is not shown means "not recorded", not "not there".
Is KidMap free?
Yes. The map, search, filters, directions, playground details and photos are free. Optional Premium removes ads and adds extra convenience features.
